Radio playout that gets out of the presenter's way.
Packet Studio is radio playout and live assist. A central library with automatic markers, chained players with SEQ, the way presenters expect, carts, button walls, voice tracking, automation, and a studio desk that lights up in step with what is on air.

Built for stations that run on people, not budgets
Community radio
Volunteer presenters need something that makes sense in ten minutes and does not fall over.
Commercial radio
Scheduling, as-played reporting and unattended automation with a real live handover.
Student radio
Packet Studio runs on its own for training and roadshows: install, plug in, play. Presenters can also go on air from home with Remote.
Everything between the library and the transmitter
Markers found for you
Import a folder and start in minutes while cue in, intro, segue and cue out are found for every song. Your corrections are never overwritten.
Chained players
Two to four chained players with SEQ, auto-load, per-player queues and carts, each handing over to the player you choose. Songs run into each other at the segue, sample-accurately, the way presenters expect.
Several sound cards
Route players, carts and monitors to different interfaces. Each card has its own drift correction, and a missing card never stops playout.
Automation, then GO LIVE
Clocks, a week grid and rules build the log. Run unattended into your streaming server, then go live in step with the station, with a clean handover.
Voice tracking
Record your links ahead of time and they play between the songs, so the station still sounds live when nobody is in the room.
Edit the hour on air
Insert, replace, remove and move items in the running log, with undo, and shape how each song fades into the next.
Ad breaks that fit
Clocks fill breaks with adverts by length, with no advertiser twice in a break. A break plays as one item, and every spot is logged for proof of broadcast.
Special days
A calendar gives bank holidays, Christmas and other special days their own clocks, so the log is right without anyone remembering to change it.
A Schedule page
Clocks, a week grid and a clock editor with running times. Drag categories into place, or edit the hour as a ring. A ready-made default clock gets you started.
Now playing everywhere
Songs go to your streams, RDS and DAB, with your station strapline in between, all from the same source as the player, so they always match.
A clock on the wall
Packet Studio Clock puts the time, ON AIR, MIC LIVE and meters on any screen, even a Raspberry Pi. It finds your studio on the network by itself.
Present from anywhere
Packet Studio Remote lets a presenter host a live show from home or on the road, sending their mic to the station and hearing the station back. On Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android.
Radio in your pocket
Packet Studio Player plays live internet radio from the Icecast servers and streams you choose, with logos and now and next. On iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows and Android, and in the car.
Your music stays put
Music plays from where it already lives, so there are no copies of your library to manage. You choose where the library data is kept.
Top of the hour, your way
Set a hard or soft top of the hour on each clock, and start junctions before the hour so what follows lands on time.
As-played you can trust
Only plays that were heard on air count. Anything heard only in headphones, muted or previewed is left out of the report.
Your studio desk is part of the system
Packet Studio works with the RØDECaster Pro II.
- Start and stop players from the faders.
- Pads for carts, Play and Stop, with colours that follow Packet Studio.
- Mute and PFL stay in sync, both ways.
- The Play pad warns you before a song's segue.
- MIC LIVE shows when a mic is really open.
